How to Create the Ultimate Call to Action (CTA)

Make no mistake about it. Nobody buys unless you ask for the sale.

As you’ll learn today, the ultimate call to action (CTA) is one that seamlessly moves your readers from the headline to the order form and gets the money. It’s not just about writing “Click here” or “Buy now.”

The ultimate CTA is something you set up from the beginning of your email, landing page, or video sales letter. No matter what you are selling, it is the logical conclusion to the message you are sending. Over the past 30 years, I have found that your entire promotion is a CTA. That is why you sent it to them: to take action now.

By creating a sales story that not only targets your client’s wants, needs, and emotions but also builds trust – all with a sense of urgency so they don’t miss out on the special opportunity you are offering them. The sales story should progress logically, leading the reader to the call to action. The call to action should feel like the natural conclusion of the sales story.

I like to use the metaphor of “romancing the reader.” Show that you understand their needs and desires and that your product answers what they are looking for, all by setting up the call to action from the beginning, building trust, creating urgency, and providing value – all in a way that guides the readers towards taking a specific action.

Now, I realize that what I am talking about here is theory. But it is the application of this theory that can make a huge difference in the success of your emails, landing pages, and video sales letter.

How to Turn Theory into Sales

For me, the best way is to look at other successful promotions.
